KVS Admission 2025-26 Eligibility: Kendriya Vidyalay Sangathan is going to start the KVS Admission 2025-26 application form 2025 from March 2025 onwards. Parents want to provide good and high quality education to their children are looking to enroll their children in Kendriya Vidyalaya. However, KVS is providing high quality education to students class 1 to class 12, but the admission in class 1 is easier than other classes as it provides direct admission in Kendriya Vidyalaya without previous school criterias. Kendriya Vidyalay Sangathan running by ministry of education of Central government in India where more than 1200 schools across the country are running by the authority. these schools are especially designed for government servants and army personnels where they can enroll their children in any of the KV school Enrollment 2025-26 during middle of the session so their education will not affect from the transfer policies of the parents. Apart from this, local residence are also eligible to enroll their children in these schools under the right to education RTE act 2009. 

KVS Admission 2025-26 Eligibility for class 1 and  Bal Vatika

Kvs admission 2025 26 eligibility pdf: However Kendriya Vidyalay are providing education from class 1 to class 12 but now they are upgrading layer schools with pre primary education under the Bal vatika program. The program is as similar to the private schools LKG, UKG and Nursery classes. This classes are known in KVS as Bal Vatika 1, 2 and 3. KVS Bal Vatika Age Criteria 2025

Bal Vatika are of implementation of national education policy NEP 2020 by Kendriya Vidyalaya in their schools across the country. The policies focusing on early childhood care which is also known as pre primary education and restructured the existing 10+2 education system into 5+3+3+4. Now the primary education is the part of first 5 years in schools including 3 years in Bal vatika ( from 3 to 5 age ) and Next 2 years are including class 1 in class 2. So parents have opportunity to enroll there students in bal vatika in Kendriya Vidyalaya in the session of 2025. However currently KVs are providing admission in Bal Vatika 3 (Nursery) but soon they will start to accept admission in 1 and 2 balvatika too.

KVS Age criteria for class 1 to class 12

Students above the age of six are able to get admission in Kendriya Vidyalaya from Class 1 in session of 2025-26. However KVS is offering education for up to class 12, but accepting new admissions from applicants up to class 10. So you can check the age criteria from class 1 to class 10 in following table:

Eligibility for Admission in KVS 2025 

• Parents on the children who are Indian citizen are eligible to apply for admission in KVS class 1 to class 12 in the education session of 2025.
• Employees who are serving in Central government or State government or military are eligible to get special reservation for their children in Kendriya Vidyalaya schools across the country.
• 25% students in each class recruited by the school under the RTE program where local residence can also apply for admission in Kendriya Vidyalaya.
• If you are a ward of government servant and changing your KVS school then you should provide parents’ transfer letters to the school to get direct admission in Kendriya Vidyalaya.
• Students are required to check the KVS Admission age criteria which are mentioned in the above list. the age will be calculated according to the 1st April 2025. For example if a children is completing his age of 6 on second April 2025, then he will not eligible to apply for admission in KVS class 1 because his age was 5 years on 1 April 2025.

KVS Admission Procedure 2025 

Kendriya Vidyalay Sangathan invites parents to apply for admission in class 1 for their children through online mode on the official website. However parents who want to enroll their children in class 2 and onwards have to apply through physical mode by reporting on the specific Kendriya Vidyalaya.

Once you submit the KVS Admission application, School authority will conduct a KVS Admission lottery 2025-26. They will create a list of the candidates according to their name in the KVS Admission lottery system 2025-26 and will invite them to complete their KVS admission until they fulfill all the vacant seats in their school.
